Around the Diocese: Dominican Rite Mass in Cambridge.

Last Sunday, the 6th Sunday after the Epiphany, saw the celebration of the Dominican Rite Mass at St. Laurence's Church, Cambridge. The Mass was celebrated by Fr. Aidan Nichols O.P., who celebrates Mass for us on those rare occasions when Fr. Christopher Back is away. The origins of the Dominican Rite go back to the 13th  century and thus survived the 'cull' of more modern rites at the Council of Trent. It is quite a wonderful experience to witness the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass as heard by St. Thomas Aquinas himself.
