Mass, according to the Dominican Rite, was said by Fr. Aidan Nichols O.P, of Blackfriars, Cambridge, due to the ill health of Fr Christopher Back, for whose speedy recovery we earnestly pray. Numbers were somewhat down on our usual Mass attendance, due to several people being away and lack of transport. Even so, a healthy number of the faithful made it to the church.
Below are some pictures of the Mass itself. Next week's Mass will be said by the prior of Blackfriars, Fr Martin Ganeri, who is being trained up especially by Fr Nichols. We are very gratefdul to the prior for showing such interest in our Mass, and for being so happy to learn the old rite.
