Today is the Feast of St John the Apostle. There follows Lauds for today, from divinumofficium.

I have been concentrating on the Devine Office recently, and for very good reason! It is, of course, part of the Church's official prayer so one is united to the whole Church. Also, the daily recitation of the psalms, which lead to Christ, is a source of wonderful spriitual nourishment.
