Fr Ray Blake's excellent blog draws attention to an article by the Scotsman on Sunday in which it is claimed that bishop Devine has written a strongly worded letter to David Cameron lampooning him for his lack of understanding of faith and questioning his morals. I do not know how the bishop's letter will be received by the wider public, but surely by all Catholics and the wider Christian populace it will be very warmly welcomed. Would that the bishops of England and Wales had the same courage to speak up! Why are they still silent? The full story can be read here.
