Sabbato infra Hebdomadam IV in Quadragesima ~ III. classis

I am still trying to get over the shock of the papal election. There has been a lot of negative reaction on the traditional blogosphere, some of it not very nice at all. My advice to all traditionalist catholics is simply to wait and see.The poor man has only been pope for a few days!

The fact that he is a Jesuit is worrying, even more so that he is from South America. Having lived in South America, and a visitor to that continent, I have seen the very poor state of the church there which I feel is kept going more by personal piety than anything else. In most parishes there is no catechism at all, even being banned in some! Even so, we need to wait and see, and, of course, continue to pray for the Holy Father.

divinumofficium:

Orémus,
Aufer a nobis, quaesumus, Dómine, iniquitátes nostras: ut ad Sancta sanctórum puris mereámur méntibus introíre. Per Christum, Dóminum nostrum. Amen.
Orámus te, Dómine, per mérita Sanctórum tuórum, quorum relíquiæ hic sunt, et ómnium Sanctórum: ut indulgére dignéris ómnia peccáta mea. Amen

Let us pray.
Take away from us our iniquities, we beseech Thee, O Lord, that we may be worthy to enter with pure minds into the Holy of Holies, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
We beseech Thee, O Lord, by the merits of Thy Saints, whose relics are here, and of all the Saints, that Thou wouldst vouchsafe to forgive me all my sins. Amen.
